" Fearfully & Wonderfully Made", literally changed the hearts of children, youth, and adults at Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Concord, North Carolina. God not only brought him to do ministry in our church family, but allowed him to share his message with other churches in this area.
His music is anointed. You experience the true love of Jesus Christ, healing through melody and word, and a true sense of God's deep affection for each of us.

His message about being "fearfully and wonderfully made" truly touched the hearts of young and old alike. David Michael has a God-given ability to relate to people of all ages..... his message of God's unfailing love for each individual is a timeless message that people are hungry to hear.
His honesty about his own life's struggles authenticates his testimony about God's love. Our own daughter, who struggles greatly with ADD and learning disabilities, was deeply touched by David Michael's powerful testimony. She was almost like a young flower drinking in the rain of grace that David Michael preached. Her response to me was, "He knows how I think." And to hear a young man share even the painful places of his heart, and come through to the other side with the grounded faith that God had ALWAYS had a plan for his life, even before he was born, was so reassuring for our Anna. She was able to mirror her own struggles with self-image, school, and intense anxiety with David Michael's. And here she saw a young man who boldly stood up to proclaim that God had a great plan in creating him just as God did...... even with his "disabilities." What a powerful testimony for those who are walking similar paths. AND.........what a powerful testimony for those who may not be walking that very SAME path, but who need help in understanding people who struggle with ADD issues. I dare say that there are very few families who do not have someone related somewhere who struggles daily with simply living life. David Michael's testimony through words and song and preaching and relating to the youth and older folks will be heard over and over in the hearts of all who were privileged to hear him in person. How very grateful I am that I was one of those people.

Listening to him play the guitar and sing his original lyrics touched our learning disabled students, of around 100, so intense that some shed tears of connection with him…he has discovered a remarkable means to address this message..

Recently we had the privilege of having David Michael Carrillo with us at our school. He led chapel services for our middle school and our high school students. I have heard so many positive comments from both student and faculty about his ministry to them through the chapel service. That same evening, he presented a concert for parents/teachers. He shared his testimony, songs, and opened the floor for a question/answer session. Many came to me afterward thanking me for setting up the concert. Many things were learned about AD/HD and ways to help those who suffer from this problem. I was very impressed with David Michael's love for the Lord, and his desire to offer hope and encouragement to parents and students alike. It was definitely a blessing for our school to have had David Michael with us.

Imagine living in a fast-moving kaleidoscope, where sounds, images and thoughts are constantly shifting. You feel easily bored, yet helpless to keep your mind on the task you need to complete. Your mind drives you from one thought or activity to the next. You're unable to sit still, plan ahead, finish the task or be fully aware of what's going on around you to where you don't notice when someone is speaking to you. This has been what David Michael Carrillo faces while living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD.
In his ministry he calls " Fearfully & Wonderfully Made ":(Living with ADHD through stories and songs), David Michael openly shares his heart about the painful years of childhood and early adult life as he had to deal with, learning disabilities, ADHD, & rejections by peers that lead to the deep rooted fear that kept him "trapped in a cage" of low self worth. But he also shares about the Lord's faithfulness and the Gospel message that released him to "Fly Away".
'
Combining humor, music, his own personal experience, and the Gospel message,
David Michael shares about the challenges he had and still has in dealing with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other learning disabilities. Through his stories and songs, the listener gets a chance to see what it's like to be in the shoes & mind of a person dealing with A.D.H.D.
Musically, David Michael interweaves the beloved Hymns,Worship songs and his own Bible based composition using a variety of musical styles that has allowed David Michael to be a welcomed guest in many denominational churches with worship service styles ranging from very traditional to contemporary.
Since the fall of 2002, David Michael has been offering a speaking presentation on ADHD to schools, churches, and other organizations.
In the presentation,David Michael openly shares about the challenges an ADHD person will face in their academics , social skills , emotional and spiritual life. Parents, teacher's and pastors have responded positively to David Michael's presentation coming from both a Christian perspective and from a person who lives with the challenge of ADHD.
David Michael has been blessed to share his story and presentation nationally and internationally including, The Chicago Christian Counseling Center, Trinity Christian College, The Praise the Lord Show in Indianapolis, Indiana (TBN), The Harvest TV show worldwide (LeSea Broadcasting) and
The Philippines.
In 2008, David Michael will have the honor to share his story and presentation for the teachers in Latvia in the month of June. In October, he will be the keynote speaker for the 37th annual Christian in Education conference held in London, England.
Also released is a special concert CD, "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made"
(Living with ADHD through stories and songs) It features the studio recordings of "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made" and "Wounds & Pain" as well as selections from a live concert where David Michael shares his personal testimony in how he began his walk with the Lord, growing up with ADHD, his goofy days at McDonald's and the moving story of how he was asked to sing his own song called "Trust in You" at the memorial service for Corey DePotter a student who lost his life at Columbine High school.
The long waited DVD,"Fearfully & Wonderfully Made"
(My life with ADHD:Stumbling blocks to Stepping stones)features the music video & TV interview from the LeSea Broadcasting TV show "Harvest" & a presentation David Michael gave to the future special education teachers at Trinity Christian College in Palo Heights, IL.
David Michael blessed us with his singing and personal testimony at Trinity Christian College. He began his message by singing and quickly captured everyone's attention with songs that refers to personal disappointment, parental frustration and how one's life can be drastically altered by those four little letters-ADHD. As I scanned the crowd I felt that there were a number of students who face learning challenges identifying with what David was saying and responding to his message of hope.
I can only hope that if you have the opportunity to see or hear David Michael Carrillo, you'll take it. It will be a time that you will remember.

I wanted to say thank you for the great performance you gave for our students. Being a school of 300 students in grades 1-12 for learning disabilities, you were a perfect fit! I was so happy to see each student participating, singing, and smiling. When you finished your story and had prayer I heard sniffles from the teachers.
May the Lord continue to bless you in his service, for you were a true blessing to us today.
