Having been in the ministry since 1988, David Michael Carrillo (Ka-Re-Yo) has toured internationally interweaving beloved Hymns, worship songs and his own Bible based songs, bridging the gap between ages and denominations. His message of hope and healing comes from his personal relationship with the Lord. Growing up, he faced the challenges of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,(ADHD), learning disabilities, and being rejected by his peers. In his new book called Fearfully & Wonderfully Made, David Michael shares about the healing power of the Gospel that delivered him from the fear of people and self doubt that developed as a teenager and young adult.
Two of his own songs from his 1996 CD, "A Journey with the Wind" have gained national attention. The song "A Servant's Prayer" is in a book by former all star pitcher Dave Dravecky called Portraits in Courage. In April of 1999 David Michael was flown out to Littleton, CO to share his song "Trust in You" for the memorial service of Corey Depooter who lost his life at Columbine High School.
His 2007 CD "A Pilgrims Progress" features 20 of his most requested songs from the last 20 years of ministry, including "A Servant's Prayer,""Trust In You" and his most moving song "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made".
When not on the road, David Michael Carrillo makes his home in Indianapolis, Indiana .Whether traveling on tour all over the country or over sea's or serving his local church body, David Michael Carrillo deep desire is that through the Word & music, many will come to new life through Jesus Christ who gives hope to a hurting world.
