Since 1988, David Michael Carrillo (Ka-Re-Yo) has been blessed to ministered through both teaching the Word, leading worship or sharing in song in over 200 Calvary Chapel fellowships, Pastor's & men's conferences,UTurn 4Christ centers, Mission NYC & other evangelistic out reach nationally and over sea's.
David Michael began his training & start in the worship/teaching ministry at
Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa
, between 1987-1991. He learned how to think more like a minister then a musician & follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit and the pastor he was serving under. His "on the job" training allowed him to work along side the pastors who headed up the different ministries at Calvary. This taught him the experience of learning to be flexible, since each ministry setting was never the same. In 1990, David Michael released his first worship recording "

" though Calvary Chapels record label "

That same year he took the leap of faith and went into full time itinerary ministry as invitations from other Calvary's began to pour in. He has been blessed as a worship leader to open up for great Bible teachers as Pastor Chuck Smith, Gayle Erwin, Sandy Adams, Bill Gallatin & Ken Ortize.
As a singer/songwriter he has been blessed to share the ministry time with the pioneers of the Jesus Movement with artist/worship leaders like Nancy Honeytree, Oden Fong, Kelly Willard, Terry & Nancy Clark and a then unknown up and coming artist Jeremy Camp.
His musical style varies from acoustic worship/contemporary folk/classical/light jazz and has received airplay on radio stations across the country and over sea's including the
Calvary Satellite Network.
His Bible teaching ministry was born out of the invitations he began to receive from "mainline" Churches.
David Michael realized that many mainline churches don't even open their Bibles anymore and most sermons were more centered on social issues. David Michael simply applied the "verse by verse" approach to the Bible text that was assigned for that Sunday and before he knew it, found himself getting invited to different churches outside the Calvary Chapel fellowships including, Lutherans, Methodist, Reformed & Baptist.
David Michael credits his home church, Calvary Chapel on the Horizon in Indianapolis, IN that has credentialed him and supports him in his ministry to the mainline churches as an Evangelist.
Now approaching his 20th year of serving the Lord in ministry with two new CD 's, book and another new ministry he is offering the body called "

He does not charge for his ministry, and is glad to receive what ever the Lord puts on the pastors heart. The only request we ask for, is for gas and a family from the fellowship that would be open to host him during his time with you.
