As a singer/songwriter he has been blessed to share the ministry time with the pioneers of the Jesus Movement with artist/worship leaders like Nancy Honeytree, Oden Fong, Kelly Willard,Terry & Nancy Clark and a then unknown up and coming artist Jeremy Camp.
His musical style varies from acoustic worship/contemporary folk/classical/light jazz/Latin styles and has received radio play internationally. He has received two music awards from Indie Heaven.com, in Nashville, TN.

His Bible teaching ministry was born out of the invitations he began to receive from "Mainline" Churches.
David Michael realized that many Mainline churches don't even open their Bibles anymore and most sermons were mostly centered on social issues. David Michael simply applied the "verse by verse" approach to the Bible text that was assigned for that Sunday and before he knew it, found himself getting invited to different churches outside the Calvary Chapel fellowships including, Lutherans, Methodist, Reformed & Baptist.
As a Bible teacher and conference speaker he has been blessed to travel through out the United States and overseas including the Philippines, England & Latvia.
He is also the Bible teacher for "A Word for the Journey" aired on GWR Internet radio.
David Michael credits his home church, Calvary Chapel on the Horizon in Indianapolis, IN that has ordained him and supports him in his ministry to the Mainline churches as an Evangelist. & a Musicianary to the country of Latvia & Eastern Europe.
Having done this ministry full time since 1990, David Michael has seen the Lord provide all of his needs. Or as he learned at Costa Mesa, "Where the Lord guides, He provides".
