Received his training for ministry at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa CA.(1987-91)

Fellowships and actively involved at Calvary Chapel on the Horizon, in Indianapolis, IN & travels and ministers among the Calvary Chapel fellowships nationally . He has also been a guest worship leader for many Calvary Chapel Pastor's Conference & Men's Retreats. He also holds membership at Spirit of Joy Church in Indianapolis,IN and has ministered nationally among the Lutheran Church since 1994.

For over 20 years, David Michael Carrillo (Ka-Re-Yo) has toured internationally interweaving beloved Hymns, worship songs and his own Bible based songs, bridging the gap between ages and denominations. His message of hope and healing comes from his personal relationship with the Lord. Growing up, he faced the challenges of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,(ADHD), learning disabilities, and being rejected by his peers. In his new book called "Fearfully &Wonderfully Made"(My Christian Journey with ADHD), David Michael shares about the healing power of the Gospel that delivered him from the fear of people and self doubt that developed as a teenager and young adult.

Two of his own songs from his 1996 CD, "A Journey with the Wind" gained national attention. The song "A Servant's Prayer" is in a book by former all star pitcher Dave Dravecky called  "Portraits in Courage"(Zondervan 1998). In April of 1999 David Michael was flown out to Littleton, CO to share his song "Trust in You" for the memorial service of  Corey Depooter who lost his life at Columbine High School.
His 2007 CD "A Pilgrims Progress" (The Best of GentleWind Music) features 20 of his most requested songs from the last 20 years of ministry,including "A Servants Prayer" "Trust In You" & his moving song "Fearfully & Wonderfully Made".
 "For the Love of Latvia"(2011), is David Michael 19th recording release.

As a Musicianary he has a heart & love for the country of Latvia & the Eastern European countries and works closely with East European Mission network that has out reaches in Latvia, Russia and other Eastern European nations.

Whether traveling on tour all over the country or over sea's or serving his local church body, David Michael deep desire is that through the Word & music, many will come to new life through Jesus Christ who gives hope to a hurting world.
